Good for invoicing, some quirks

I signed up for Tradify primarily for the Invoicing Software and Xero Integration. Setting up invoices was pretty straightforward, and linking it to Xero saved me a good bit of time at month-end. I liked the Custom Quote Templates too, made my estimates look more professional. The Mobile App for Trades was mostly good for on-site updates. My main issue was with the Map View Scheduling; it felt a little clunky and not as intuitive as I hoped. Delivery was instant, obviously, since it's software. Customer support was responsive when I had a question about the QuickBooks Integration, which was a plus. For the price, it offers solid value, but that scheduling could definitely be smoother.

Easy to use app

I used the Job Tracking App. It was simple to log hours and add job notes. Didn't have any trouble getting it set up. Good stuff.

Reliable as always

This was my third time renewing with Tradify, and it's consistently reliable. I originally came for the Timesheet Software and it's still excellent. This time I also started using the Health and Safety Forms, which are pretty decent and saved me from creating my own. The integration with QuickBooks has always worked flawlessly for my business. I've tried a few competitors like Jobber in the past, but Tradify just seems to fit my workflow better and hasn't let me down on any order.

Thinking of switching from Jobber to Tradify. Has anyone used both and can tell me if Tradify is actually better for job tracking?

D Dan 2 months ago
I came from ServiceM8, not Jobber, but I found Tradify's job tracking to be way more comprehensive. Especially with the map view scheduling and real-time updates, it keeps everyone on the same page.

It's pretty good. The timesheet software built-in is handy for keeping tabs on hours, and I like that you can attach photos and notes directly to jobs. Helps keep everything organized.

Does Tradify do a proper free trial? Like, can I use all the features for a bit to see if it works for my electrical company?

M Marcus 2 months ago
Yep, they do a 14-day free trial. It's fully functional, so you can test everything out without committing. I'd recommend really putting it through its paces during that time.

It's a full trial, no stripped-down version. Just make sure to cancel before the 14 days are up if you decide it's not for you, otherwise it rolls into a paid subscription.

Quick question on pricing. Is there a way to get it cheaper than the monthly rate? Just starting out and every dollar counts.

B Ben K. 2 months ago
Definitely. If you pay yearly instead of monthly, they usually knock a decent chunk off the price, like 10-20% last I checked. Worth looking into if you plan to stick with it.

Also, keep an eye out for any partner discounts or referral links. Sometimes you can snag a deal that way, but the annual billing is the most consistent discount.

Hey guys, thinking about trying Tradify for my plumbing business. Does it actually make invoicing easier or is it just another system to learn?

C Cleo 1 month ago
Yeah, it's pretty slick for invoicing. You can whip up quotes and turn them straight into invoices, even send automated reminders. Saves a ton of time compared to doing it all manually.

I found it pretty intuitive. Especially with the custom templates, it looks way more professional. Plus, you can link it with Xero so that's a big plus for accounting.

My internet is spotty at some job sites. Does the Tradify app work offline, or do I need a constant connection?

D David Carter 2 months ago
It mostly works offline. You can still access job details, add notes, and photos, and it syncs up once you get back online. Super handy for remote areas.

For most daily tasks like timesheets and job info, it's fine offline. Stuff that needs to talk to the server, like getting new job assignments, obviously needs connection, but you're not totally stuck.

I got some kind of promo code from a trade show last month. Where do you even put that in when you sign up?

C Cody 2 months ago
You usually enter it during the billing setup phase, after you've gone through the initial sign-up process. There should be a field for 'promo code' or 'discount code' there.

Yeah, don't worry if you don't see it right away. It pops up when you're choosing your plan and payment method.

Can you actually manage subcontractors with Tradify? Or is it more for just my own crew?

G Gwen L. 1 month ago
Yup, it has subcontractor management features. You can assign them to jobs, track their hours, and manage their tasks. Makes it way easier than trying to keep track of it all manually.

S Sarah V. 1 month ago
It's pretty robust for subs. You can use it to keep all their info in one place and even handle purchase orders related to their work.

Is it easy to cancel Tradify if it doesn't work out? Don't want to get locked into anything.

B Brett Y. 2 months ago
Super easy to cancel. You can do it anytime, no fuss. I cancelled and resubscribed later without any issues.

R Rosa G. 2 months ago
Yeah, I think you just go into your account settings and there's an option there. It's not like some services that make you jump through hoops.
